V International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference

On April 28, 2021, the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​with the participation of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology held the V International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference “Key Problems of Modern Germanic and Romance Philology”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of our university.

The co-organizers of the Internet conference were the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk, Poland, Lanzhou Polytechnic University, Lanzhou, China and the British Council in Ukraine, Kyiv.

Other educational institutions also supported the tradition, including: Poltava State Agrarian Academy, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, Poltava University of Economics and Trade, Dnipropetrovsk State University of Internal Affairs, Sumy A.S. Makarenko State Pedagogical University and others.

The conference began with a welcoming speech by Oksana Dudnyk, Acting Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies, Ph.D., Senior Lecturer, who noted the instructiveness and scientific nature of each annual International Conference at the Romance and Germanic Philology Department. Welcoming remarks were also made by the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​Svitlana Shekhavtsova and the Head of the Romance and Germanic Philology Department Olena Byndas.

After the plenary session, the sections “Topical issues of linguistics”, “Romance and Germanic languages”, “Literary studies and literature of foreign countries”, “Comparative studies and translation studies” and “Linguodidactics” began their work. Elizaveta Okunkova, Master’s student of the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk, Poland, “Project work as a way to develop creative thinking of English philology students”, Jaylee Woo, Gansu, China, “Where, why and where again”, Lyudmila Shapovalova “The main concepts and values ​​of the French phraseological picture of the world”, Lugansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Natalia Komlyk “Proverbs of the English language as representatives of consonant phrases with the conjunction and”, Lugansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Valeria Shkarlet “Modern view on the interpretation of the concept “multicultural value orientations”, Lugansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Iryna Sklyarova “Socio-cultural component as a guarantee of future teachers gaining competence and mutual understanding in intercultural space”, Lugansk Taras Shevchenko National University, Svitlana Lenska “Impressionist poetics of short stories by V. Wolf “Royal Garden” and M. Kotsyubynsky “Intermezzo””, Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University and many others.

All participants had the opportunity to discuss the reports, and to suggest the ways to address the issues raised by the speakers.

The conference was held in a scientific and friendly format, the work was summed up at the end and the V International Scientific and Practical Internet Conference was closed.
