Within the framework of the Days of Science, the Department of Pedagogy held an online marathon for future teachers and a reporting conference for young scientists.
“Evolution of pedagogical thought: from the origins to the presentˮ – this was the name of the week-long marathon, which united higher education applicants for the first (bachelor’s) level of the ER IHIRSPS (specialty “Secondary Education (History and Jurisprudence)”), FNS (specialty “Biology and Human Health”, “Secondary Education. Geography”) and higher education applicants of the ER IPES (specialty” Secondary Education. Physical Culture”). The moderators of the event were Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy Oksana Alekseeva and Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy Inna Kurlishchuk.
For future specialists in the field of education, it is important to turn to the heritage of foreign and domestic teachers. A necessary condition for the successful professional implementation of the future teacher of the New Ukrainian School is an understanding of the progressive ideas of the past from the perspective of the present day, a critical understanding of historical facts, pedagogical theories and their study in dynamics at different stages of society development. It is historical and pedagogical awareness that allows one to better navigate the diversity of ideas and approaches of world pedagogical science and practice, as well as initiate new reforms of the national education system.
During the event, the participants had the opportunity to present the results of their scientific research in the field of world and national history of pedagogy, during the preparation of which higher education applicants improved their general educational skills in processing and studying literary pedagogical sources; on the organization and conduct of scientific research; formed the skills and abilities of using research methods to solve practical educational problems.
