Professional development of guarantors of educational programs

Guarantors of educational programs and lecturers from the support group of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology took part in a webinar from Oxford University Press.

This week Svitlana Shekhavtsova, Professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, who is the guarantor of the bachelor’s degree educational program ,,Language and Literature (English)”, with the head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology, Associate Professor Olena Byndas, who is the guarantor of the bachelor’s degree educational program ,,Language and Literature (German, English)”, and a lecturer of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology from the support group of bachelor’s degree educational program ,,Language and Literature (French, English)” Liudmyla Ovcharova joined the webinar ,,Oxford Exam Trainer is your guide to successful exams” in order to improve the quality of education at the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology on the basis of a survey of bachelor’s degree students. The event was organized by representatives of Oxford University Press in Ukraine.

The aim of the webinars is to enhance the professional development of lecturers, exchange experiences and resources to support a wide range of learning outcomes. During the webinar, current and new means of teaching writing, improving students’ vocabulary and ways to improve the grammar of English in the classroom were discussed. Along with pleasant communication, everyone also received certificates of participation and a resource package with exclusive materials. The webinar revealed the secrets of how to motivate not only students, but also how to find methods for own motivation.
