Public reception office of the ER ICSTT

The public reception office of the ER ICSTT on consumer rights protection continues to work.

The public reception office of the ER ICSTT on consumer rights protection as a joint project of the ER ICSTT of the SI “LTSNU” and NGO Research Center “Independent Expertise”, successfully began its work on March 15, 2021. In less than a month, several meetings took place and the first practical results were obtained. During the activity of the Public Reception in the online mode on the  Microsoft Teams platform, events were held, including: 

  • competition of applications to help real consumers who purchased goods of inadequate quality and their discussion;
  • considered and analyzed a statement drawn up by specialists of the NGO “Research Center “Independent Expertise” to help one of the consumers in solving her problem.

During the next meeting, Natalia Omelchenko (Professor of the Department of Commodity Science, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise, ER ICSTT, SI “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”, Chairman and Chief Expert of the NGO Scientific Research Center “Independent Expertise”, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor) drew attention to attending the application of professional competencies in the context of consumer rights protection. Additionally, the meeting participants received an explanation of the algorithm for solving such situations, in order to help consumers who purchased goods of inadequate quality.

It should be noted that the most active participants during the work of the Public Reception Office were bachelor’s students majorign in 076 “Entrepreneurship, Trade and Exchange Activities” of the educational program “Commodity Science and Expertise in Customs”, ER ICSTT – Oleksandr Kharchenko , Anastasia Dobosh, Mykola Babenko, Evgenii Pasmurskykh. They became winners in a professional application competition. The Department of Commodity Science, Trade Entrepreneurship and Goods Expertise congratulates the winners!

It is known that for each specialist the best reward is words of gratitude from those who were able to provide real and qualified assistance. At one of the meetings of the Public Reception, those present listened to a recording of the consumer’s gratitude for the help provided to her.
