Winning powerlifters

Students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports won the Powerlifting Championship of the Luhansk region. 

On March 27, 2021, the Powerlifting Championship of the Luhansk region took place in Popasna, where students of the educational and scientific institute of physical education and sports took part and won prizes on the podium.

Andrii Redko (4th year) in the total triathlon in the weight category up to 83 kg took the second place and in the overall standings took the second place, having collected the amount of 615 kg. This result is equal to the standard of the master of sports of Ukraine.

Bohdan Bondarenko (3rd year) collected 600 kg in triathlon. In the weight category up to 105 kilograms, he took 1st place and fulfilled the standard of a candidate for master of sports.

Vitalii Bilozir (1 master’s student, PCS) in the weight category up to 83 kg set 3 records of the Luhansk region (in squatting with a barbell on the shoulders 252.5; in deadlift 310; in total 717.5 in triathlon). On the sum of the triathlon he took the 1st place, and in the overall standings – the 1st place.

Olena Shatalova (2nd year, PCS) in the weight category up to 69 kg took the first place in the total eventing 327.5 kg. In the overall standings she took the third place.
