Global Money Week

From March 22 to March 28, a series of events within the framework of Global Money Week took place at the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business.
Global Money Week is an annual international information campaign that includes financial events for children and young people. This is a week when many events, lessons, lectures, workshops, master classes, competitions and contests are held in different countries of the world to raise the financial awareness of the young generation.
“Take care of yourself, take care of your money!” is the official theme of Global Money Week in 2021.
Within the framework of Global Money Week, a number of events were held at the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business. Thus, with the support of the Youth Business Club and the Scientific Committee of the Student Directorate, the Monopoly Championship of the financial and economic game was held. All participants were divided into teams, each of which was assigned a “banker”. He made sure the players followed the rules. The qualifying games and the final game were held, according to the results of which the winner was determined.
After that, the teachers and students created a video on the topic “What book on finance have I read recently? ˮ Each talked about which book on the topic of finance impressed him the most. The video was published on the pages of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business in social networks.
On March 22, an open lecture was held, organized by the scientific committee of the student directorate. Students prepared reports on topical problems in the field of economics and finance. After that, the student youth solved crosswords together and played the game “Successful Budget”.
On March 23rd, 3rd year students watched the film “Steve Jobs: Empire of Seduction”. The film tells how a young inventor and entrepreneur was able to found his own corporation.
Teachers and students also took part in online events supported by the National Bank of Ukraine. So, on March 24, the staff of the institute took part in the webinar “Lifehack on the payment system”, which made it possible to deepen knowledge in the field of financial literacy. The students learned how not to fall into the trap of scammers and learned how to shop safely online. The webinar organizer Olena Trygub spoke in detail about new scenarios of payment fraud.
Creative students and teachers of the institute created a video “Dance like Moneymen”, where everyone could show their choreographic abilities.
