Meeting of students with stakeholders

On March 25, a meeting of 1-4 year students majoring in Ecology with stakeholders took place at the Faculty of Natural Sciences.
The meeting with potential employers – representatives of the State Ecological Inspectorate in the Luhansk region was attended by the head of the department of state environmental supervision (control) of the natural reserve fund, forests and flora, senior state inspector for environmental protection of the Luhansk region Oleksandr Grek; chief specialist of the department of state environmental supervision (control) of the natural reserve fund, forests and flora, state inspector for environmental protection of the Luhansk region Lidia Cherna; chief specialist of the department of state environmental supervision (control) of the natural reserve fund, forests and flora, state inspector for environmental protection of the Luhansk region Roman Poltavskyi; chief specialist of the department of state environmental supervision (control) of land resources, state inspector for environmental protection of the Luhansk region Yevgen Andriushchenko.
Employees of the State Environmental Inspection held a lecture on the topic “State and Priority Directions of Development of the NRF in Ukraine and Luhansk Region in Accordance with the Development of the European Ecological Network.”
The lecturers revealed the issues of modern principles of the protection of natural ecosystems in the context of the development of the Pan-European ecological network, recalled the main legislative documents and regulations governing relations in the field of environmental law, noted the degree of responsibility for committing offenses against the environment, which are types of administrative and criminal liability for environmental offenses; told about the functions of the state environmental inspection, its structure and the main directions of work of inspectors of the state environmental supervision department.
At the end of the meeting, representatives of the State Ecological Inspectorate of the Luhansk region, as potential employers, spoke in detail about the conditions for admission to work, the requirements for applicants for the position of a civil servant and general working conditions.
The meeting was attended by both students majoring in Ecology, who certainly need this information in the first place, and students majoring in Forestry and Gardening and Park Economy, whose future professional activities, of course, include their own environmental components.
A lecture was held in the large assembly hall of the university, where first-third year students were invited, and 4th year students were present online using the Microsoft Teams platform.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, students and teachers showed great interest in what they heard, asked numerous questions to the guests. The creation of such an atmosphere was also facilitated by the fact that two of the invited guests are graduates of our university, specialty “Ecology”.
At the end of the lecture, teachers and students thanked for the presentation and expressed a wish for further cooperation and new meetings. In turn, representatives of the State Ecological Inspectorate in the Luhansk region wished the students success in their studies!
