First aid courses

The students and teaching staff of the university took courses in first aid.

The first aid courses initiated by the head of the Student Social Service Olena Dukhova were held in the assembly hall of LTSNU. 

This time 10 people took part in the courses. During six hours, they studied the sequence of actions in case of impaired airway patency, bleeding, fainting, acute abdominal pain, injuries of the musculoskeletal system, emergency conditions caused by hyperthermia, as well as the principles of first aid. First aid instructor from the Red Cross Society, Andrii Neshcheret, introduced the attendees in detail to the algorithm for calling an ambulance, checking consciousness and showed how to rewind wounds correctly, to carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation in people of different ages: a small child, a teenager and an adult.

At the end of the course, all participants received international certificates, which are proof that these people will be able to provide first aid.
