1st round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad

The 1st round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad was held at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports. 

On March 24, the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education, within the framework of the Days of Science, held the 1st round of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty 014 Secondary Education. Physical Culture dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the university (subject to quarantine conditions).

The Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports Oleksadr Dubovoi and the Head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Physical Education Olena Sokolenko addressed the students with a welcoming speech.

The tasks of the Olympiad were testing theoretical knowledge on the theory and methodology of physical education, a practical task (knowledge of the methodology and writing a summary of a physical education lesson on individual tasks), a round table on the topic “The work of a Physical Education Teacher in Conditions of Distance Learning”.

The 10 best students majoring in Secondary Education (Physical Culture) took part in the Olympiad. All participants showed a sufficient level of knowledge in the theory and methodology of physical education and demonstrated high practical skills.

The winners and prize-winners of the Olympiad were: Lina Bugaeva – 1st year master’s student (1st place), Artem Kniagnytskyi – 4th year student (2nd place); Maryna Shypilova – 3rd year student (III place), scientific adviser: Associate Professor Olena Otravenko.
