The Department of Production Technologies and Vocational Education held a meeting of the working project group on the development of an educational and professional program.

On March 16, 2021, the Department of Production Technologies and Vocational Education held a meeting of the working project group for the development of an educational and professional program “Technology of Light Industry Products” of the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education of the industry of knowledge 01 Education / Pedagogy, specialty 015 “Vocational education”, on subject specialization “Technology of Light Industry Products”, by representatives of the administration and teachers of the Rubizhne Industrial Pedagogical College.

The meeting was organized to review and update the educational and professional program. The participants worked actively and fruitfully to improve it.

During the meeting, the issues of training specialists in the field of training “Vocational Education. The technology of Light Industry Productsˮ that would meet the new educational realities, a list of competencies that should be formed in the masters of industrial training and teachers of special disciplines in this area was discussed, the content of the educational and professional program was agreed.

The meeting took place following several online stakeholder consultations. The received comments and suggestions were carefully analyzed by the working project group.

The stakeholders noted that the proposed EPP complies with the provisions of the Professional Education Standard of the first (bachelor’s) level, reflects the consensus of the proposals received and forms the basis for the successful implementation of the goal set in it. Nevertheless, representatives of the educational institution suggested that more attention should be paid to the formation of the skills of working with specialized computer programs among applicants for higher education, as well as the development of creativity in teaching.

On March 18, 2021, a meeting was held with the director of Starobilsk Garment Factory LLC Yulia Savenko. She got acquainted in detail with the educational and professional training program for bachelors of the specialty “Professional Education. Technology of Light Industry Productsˮ. The meeting participants exchanged views on the content of the educational and professional program, the foundations of educational components and professional competencies necessary for the training of light industry specialists competitive in the labor market. During the meeting, a wide range of issues related to the quality of training and employment of graduates were also considered and discussed.

The stakeholder proposed to pay attention to the practical training of higher education applicants.
