“Biology”: The First Week of The Session

The first week of session classes is held for the students of “Biology” specialty.

The lecturers of the Department of Biology held the founding conference for the students of “Biology” specialty. During the conference, Head of the Department Nataliia Matsai told about the plans of educational, scientific and educational work in the 2015-2016 academic year. Lecturers of the Department Serhii Vovk, Halyna Yevtushenko and Yuliia Havryliuk defined the basic requirements for biological cycle disciplines of the first semester and offered the themes of research projects that students can perform at the Department of Biology.

Denys Cherviak, Yuliia Fursova and Oleksii Honcharov were awarded with the certificates. These students are actively working on research topics during education, participate in conferences and have scientific publications.

Kateryna Zavertylenko, Anna Datsenko, Yuliia Zolkina, Svitlana Mykhailova, Maryna Ivanytska, Olena Romanenko, Oksana Dziuba and Olena Myroniuk were mentioned as active students in social life in biology studying.

Students of the first and five courses and master course had the introduction lessons that provided information about the education system at the university and at the department, practical training on the elements of distance learning on the Moodle website, presented features of studying biological disciplines and opportunities which are open to the students outside the university (library, the Internet, communication among students, traditions, etc.).
