The Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communication actively conducts career guidance events.

On March 18, schools of the Stanichno-Luhansk district of the Luhansk region were visited. The organizer of the meetings was Artem Halych, Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Journalism and Publishing. He together with Tetiana Kononenko, 1st year master’s student majoring in Journalism, visited secondary education institutions in order to attract as many school graduates as possible to the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National  University”.

During the conversation, future applicants were provided with all the necessary information about the faculty and specialties, specifics of the educational process and admission through the educational center “Donbas-Ukraine”. University staff told the students about the city of Starobilsk, which is rapidly developing and the main advantages of our higher educational institution, namely: availability of budgetary places; the opportunity to complete and interesting practice; focused on the powerful material and technical base of the university; pointed to a significant number of persons with an academic degree and academic title, who ensure a high level of the educational process; focused on comfortable living conditions in the dormitories and multimedia classrooms and a library.

The idea to advertise the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications was fully realized. Pupils learned about the specialties and professions of future specialists, language specialists, journalists, as well as information materials and booklets.

The meeting was interesting and informative, pupils showed interest in learning, asked many questions and enjoyed the communication.
