Coordination meeting of partner universities

A coordination meeting of partner universities took place within the framework of the German-Ukrainian Project “Management of Internationalization of Ukrainian Higher Educational Institutions”.
As part of the participation of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” in the project “Management of Internationalization and German-Ukrainian Academic Cooperation 2020 – 2021″ with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science Ukraine, the German-Ukrainian Academic Society, the German Union of Science Managers and the Leibniz University with the financial support of the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, DAAD) a coordination meeting of partners was held on the Adobe Connect online platform of the Leibniz University in Hannover (LUH), during which the results of the participation of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” in the project were presented. The project aims to qualify representatives of the administration of Ukrainian higher education institutions in accordance with the current international standards for internationalization; accordingly, the project aims to strengthen German-Ukrainian academic cooperation regarding the challenges and prospects of the internationalization process in higher education.
During the coordination meeting, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Acting Professor of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology Iryna Myhovych presented the strategic aspects of introducing internationalization in relation to the educational component of the activities of a higher education institution, providing for the development of new educational programs and training courses, taking into account the elements of internationalization at home, which allows students to listen to lectures, take part in workshops, etc. from teachers from all over the world without leaving their native university.
During the meeting, current trends in the process of internationalization in higher education, competence regarding internationalization (global, multicultural, entrepreneurial), aspects of academic mobility and international cooperation in research, etc. were discussed, as well as individual projects of partner universities were presented. The program of the meeting allowed to get acquainted with the activities of the German-Ukrainian Academic Society (DUAG / UKRAINET, link: ukrianet.eu) and The UKRAINET Information and Collaboration Platform (The UKRAINET – IC Platform), the purpose of implementation of which in Germany was the idea of promoting international cooperation with Ukraine in the field of higher education, science and research.
