Excursion of designers to the Regional Library

First-year students of the Design Department visited the Luhansk Regional Universal Scientific Library.

On March 16, by prior agreement with the Director Svitlana Moiseeva, higher education applicants majoring in “Graphic Design” together with teachers and head of the Design Department Iryna Prodan visited Good library.

Good library is a newly formed creative team, in which in addition to librarians there are people of creative professions including designers, writers, programmers, musicians, engineers and analysts.

The creative staff of the library gave a fascinating story about the rules of use, introduced them to the diverse and multi-genre literary fund, new artistic and design developments. They provided advice on the specifics of working with periodicals and electronic resources.

At the meeting, the discussion was joined by Mr. Oleksandr, a practicing designer, who told our applicants for education about the specifics and features of their professional activities, gave instructions on the need to develop design thinking among future graphic design specialists.

Participants talked and exchanged views on further cooperation and joint work on projects with event manager Serhii Letuchyi, founder of BetOnArt, Youth Art Association in Starobilsk.

The work of the library team is aimed at helping teachers and all members of society by promoting non-formal education among the population.

We look forward to further cooperation on new and creative joint design and public projects.
