Generous Maslenitsa

On March 11, a competition “Generous Maslenitsa” was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business.

Maslenitsa is a traditional Ukrainian holiday, which has been celebrated in different regions of our country for many centuries. The symbolic end of winter, the beginning of springtime, a new stage of life, prosperity and warmth – all this has long accompanied the life of Ukrainians.

Traditionally, Maslenitsa is celebrated at the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business. But this year the program of the event was slightly changed and supplemented. Thus, the student self-government of the Institute with the support of the directorate organized the “Generous Maslenitsa” competition.

Students actively and persistently prepared for the holiday, cooked delicious dishes and decorated the audience. Each group presented pancakes with a specific filling. And the jury, which included the Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business V.P. Khmel, Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work of the IEB O.A. Chernysh and the head of the Student Social Service Sector O.O. Dukhova. First of all, the creativity of the presentation, the appearance of the dish and taste were taken into account.

So, the best were the works of the 3rd year students. The jury also noted the dishes of the 4th year and 1st year students majoring in “Economics”.

After summing up the results, the entertainment program began. Together, the students made a symbolic scarecrow that marked the end of winter and the long-awaited beginning of spring.
