Students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports showed good results at the Ukrainian Weightlifting Cup.

The Ukrainian Weightlifting Cup was held in Lutsk. The team of the Luhansk region was represented by students of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.

Among girls, the best result was shown by Nadia Kurdiukova (3rd year). In the weight category 45 kg she took the 1st place with the result of 116 kg in the combined event (47 kg + 69 kg).

In the 81 kg weight category Tetiana Andriiashchenko (2nd year) took the III place with a result of 170 kg in the combined event (73 kg + 97 kg). Kateryna Buianova (2nd year) took 6th place in the 55 kg weight category with a result of 152 kg.

Among men the best result was shown by Bohdan Buriachek (1st year, magisrtacy) in the weight category 109 kg took the II place with the result of 368 kg in the combined event (167 kg + 201 kg).

In the weight category 73 kg, a silver medal was won by Vitalii Sergeiev (4th year), who showed the result of 294 kg in the combined event (138kg + 156kg) and Dmytro Kurdiukov (1st year, magistracy) took 6th place with the result of 262 kg in the weight category 73 kg.

In the 89 kg weight category, Oleksandr Rud (4th year) took 7th place with a result of 313 kg.

We congratulate our weightlifters and trainers Kostiantyn Selivanov and Hennadii Buriachek, graduates of our higher educational institution on the successful performance and wish them further sporting achievements.
