Congratulations on the anniversary

Dear applicants for higher education, teachers, employees, alumni! We sincerely congratulate you on the 100th anniversary of our dear Alma Mater!

This anniversary united us with respect for the glorious past of our university and a common cause aimed at the development of the higher educational institution and Ukraine as a whole.

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is the oldest higher educational institution in the East of Ukraine, which has gone a thorny path from Donetsk Higher Pedagogical Provincial Courses to the National University. It worthily bears the name of the Great Kobzar, who has become a symbol of invincibility, patriotism, devotion to the state and the Ukrainian people.

For 100 years of its existence, the university has withstood severe challenges of fate, which hardened it and strengthened the team. The forced temporary displacement in 2014 is proof of this. For the third time, the university staff had to defend their rights and prove their loyalty to the state.

From year to year, the authority of our university is growing as the flagship of education and science, as a leader in the training of highly qualified personnel. A cohort of outstanding scientists, athletes, and artists enhance the fame of Alma Mater. This is evidenced by the high results in the scientific and educational sectors.

For 100 years we have learned to work in different conditions. We have a unique team of applicants for higher education, teachers, alumni who remember their history and are proud of their university. Our Alma Mater is not only the university of the past, but also the university of the future. We remember our past, but at the same time we confidently step into the future.

Dear teachers! On this festive day, please accept our sincere congratulations on this significant date. This is our common holiday that strengthens the spirit of unity and commitment. Let the sources of wisdom and patience be inexhaustible, from which you are inspired in the difficult task of establishing Ukrainian roots, and those seeds of a worthy upbringing of the new generation that you sowed in the souls of your students grow with gratitude in the hearts of caring Ukrainians. We are proud of your hard work, which is filled with deep meaning, achievements and pedagogical victory. Your irresistible courage, unyielding will and strength of mind, steadfastness of moral convictions and worldview positions give us the opportunity to withstand and overcome all adversity.

We wish all students, postgraduate students, doctoral students, graduates good health, inexhaustible energy for the realization of all desires and ideas. Do not stop there and always strive for unlimited self-improvement.

Due to the new challenge of our time – the epidemiological situation, we cannot celebrate this day together. Therefore, all celebrations were postponed to September 2021.
