The results of the Student Olympiad have been summed up.
The results of the Student Olympiad devoted to the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the university have been summed up.
On February 26, the Pedagogy Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology announced the results of the 1st (university-wide) stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Pedagogy. The purpose of the event is to identify and support gifted student youth, promote the implementation of creative abilities and stimulate the need for higher education applicants to independently expand their knowledge, strive for professional self-education and improvement, as well as to select participants for further presentation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University at the All-Ukrainian stage.
This year the event was attended by higher education applicants of the first (bachelor’s) level, who represented almost all educational and scientific institutes and faculties of our university. The complex task of the Olympiad consisted of two blocks:
- theoretical: students solved tests consisted of questions on the history of pedagogy, general pedagogy, the theory of education and training, the theory of education, modern teaching technologies and the organization of pedagogical research;
- practical: students performed research and creative tasks, in particular, demonstrated analytical and research development in the form of the essay “New Professional Roles and Tasks of a Modern Teacher in the Context of the New Ukrainian School” and solved practical pedagogical problems.
The jury consisting of the chairman, the head of the Pedagogy Department Viktoria Shvyrka and the Associate Professor of the Pedagogy Department Olena Sevastianova determined the winners: I place – Anastasia Sykalo, 3rd year student, specialty “Secondary Education. History, the ER IHIRSPS; II place – Kyrylo Ivanov, 2nd year student, specialty “Secondary Education. Physical Culture” the ER IPES; III place – Yelyzaveta Rybkina, 3rd year student, specialty “Professional Education. Technology of Light Industry Productsˮ, the ER ICSTT and Viktoria Sukharivska, 3rd year student, specialty “Secondary Education. Biology”, the FNS.
Anastasia Sykalo (Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences) and Kyrylo Ivanov (Institute of Physical Education and Sports) were recommended to participate in the All-Ukrainian stage of the Olympiad in Pedagogy. We wish we wish them to adequately represent our university. We are waiting for victory!
