“Compete for a New Life!”

Students of the Department of Ukrainian Literature took an active part in the I International Competition of Student’s Creativity named after Maria Fischer-Slizh “Compete for a New Life!”.

February 25, 2021 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Lesia Ukrainka. This is a landmark anniversary, because Lesia Ukrainka has become a symbol of Ukraine, its rebelliousness, human and national dignity of the Ukrainian people.

With a word-weapon and active social activity, Lesia Ukrainka has led entire generations of Ukrainians to understand the value of freedom and national consciousness.

The purpose of the competition:

  • to promote a deeper familiarization and study by the youth of the heritage of the great Ukrainian poetess, world famous woman Lesia Ukrainka;
  • to involve students in the preservation of the cultural heritage of the Ukrainian people by studying and researching the history of their native land;
  • to form spiritual and moral values ​​and feelings of artistic and aesthetic taste on the example of the works of Lesшa Ukrainka.

Students of the Faculty of Ukrainian Philology and Social Communications took an active part in the I International (VII All-Ukrainian, XVII All-Crimean) Сompetition of Student’s Creativity named after Maria Fischer-Slizh “Compete for a New Life!”, dedicated to Lesia Ukrainka. The participants of the competition prepared original creative works in two nominations: scientific research work and a work in the following genres: essay, discourse essay, study, feature article. For the seventh year in a row, philology students and journalists have been actively participating in the competition, acquiring prizes. These are students Tetiana Kononenko, Anastasia Horban, Serhii Teriaev, Viktoria Kalinina, Oleksandr Mironenko, Nina Soroka, Oleksandr Heletii, Anna Shevchenko, Anastasia Bespala.

We wish the contestants new victories, creative achievements and inspiration.
