Table Tennis Tournament

The Deputy Director for Educational Affairs of the ER IPES Pavlo Hordienko participated in the Table Tennis Tournament. 

The first round of the Open Table Tennis Tournament “Silver Racket of Severodonetsk” took place at the Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 1 in the city of Severodonetsk.

The tournament was attended by 32 tennis players of all ages. The youngest participant was only 8 years old, and the most experienced was 65. This tournament is becoming more and more popular and the geography of the participants is expanding. This time, players from Severodonetsk, Rubizhne, Kreminna, Liman, Lysychansk, Kramatorsk, Kharkiv, Gorsk and Druzhkivka arrived at the competition.

Pavlo Hordiienko, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, also took part, who won the final “B”.

The fight for the main awards of the tournament has just begun, because there are still two rounds ahead and the 12 best players will be selected according to the total of points scored to participate in the final part of the “Top-12”.

We note the good organization of the tournament, clear refereeing and wonderful conditions: a warm hall with a special coating, appropriate lighting and professional tennis tables.

There is also a tournament “Severodonetsk Golden Racket” ahead.
