Meeting of the Department

A scheduled meeting was held at the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business.

The Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business of the ER ICSTT continues to work fruitfully to provide high-quality training for higher education applicants in the specialties “Hotel and Restaurant Business” and “Tourism”.

On February 18, 2021, a scheduled meeting of the Department was held online using the Skype platform.

The following issues were put on the agenda:

1. Fulfillment of the teaching load by the scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department in 2020/2021 academic year. 
2. Scientific work with applicants for education.
3. Social and humanitarian work of curators with applicants for education.
4. Discussion of the activities of the Department dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.

The meeting of the department was attended by the Director of the ER ICSTT Viktor Drel, the Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Natalia Bykadorova and the Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work Mykhailo Chumak.

The management and teachers of the department paid special attention to career guidance work. The main goal of vocational guidance activities is to promote by all available methods to enhance the competitiveness of our specialties. In addition, an important task of career guidance is to inform about the features and advantages of the profession, about new professional opportunities in career growth. It was also noted that an important area of ​​the department’s work is participation in grants. This is an opportunity to get the necessary resources, without which you can do nothing in the implementation of conceived projects or ideas in the hotel and restaurant business.

The meeting of the department went smoothly and in a constructive atmosphere. As a result, the ways of successful solution of the issues were outlined, tasks were defined to be performed by teachers and applicants for higher education of the department.
