Preparatory courses for persons from non-controlled territories

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has begun preparatory courses for applicants from the uncontrolled territories of Ukraine.

The State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated 09.02.2021 No. 151 “On the introduction of a pilot project of preparatory courses” begins preparatory courses for applicants from the uncontrolled territories of Ukraine.

The main direction of the pilot project of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University” was the creation of preparatory courses for the state final certification and external independent evaluation for applicants from uncontrolled territories. The main goal of the activity is to ensure a high level of training for high school students and professionally oriented youth for admission to higher education institutions of Ukraine at the educational level of a bachelor and the preparation of foreign citizens for training in higher education institutions of Ukraine. Future applicants will be able to improve their level of training in such subjects as the Ukrainian language and literature, history of Ukraine and mathematics. Teaching will be carried out according to the programs recommended by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Center for the Independent Assessment of the Quality of Education and author’s methods using modern teaching methods.

So, on February 16, 2021, the executive secretary of the Admission Committee Alina Beshkinska in an interview with “UA: DONBAS” informed the viewers with the working hours and registration rules for the preparatory courses. Their operation will begin on March 1, 2021 in an online format on the Microsoft Teams platform. From October 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022, the courses will be held in person (subject to a favorable epidemiological situation). Those who complete the preparatory courses will receive a student certificate.
