The student of the ER IPES took the third place in the annual International Competition.
Under the guidance of Oksana Alekseeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, a student of the Institute of Physical Edcucation and Sports Lilia Semivolos took the third place in the annual International Competition.
Recently, the results of the International Essay Competition on the theme “Looking to the future: Common Values, Common Dreams”, which took place within the framework of the ENACTED project “The European Union and its Neighbourhood. Network for Enhancing EU’s Actorness in the Eastern Borderlands” (2017-2625) were officially announced. Among the works of students-winners of national stages from Belarus, Romania, Poland, Hungary and other partner countries of the project, the work of a student of our university was noted as one of the best and took the third place.
The competition included two stages – national and international.
The national stage was held in two rounds: the first, in which the work entered the top five – the evaluation of written essays by the competition jury; the second – online voting for the video presentation of the main ideas of the works of the finalists in the social network “Facebook”. At this stage, the selection of works for further presentation at the international stage took place through an independent vote. Lilia’s essay was the second in terms of the number of votes, which gave her the opportunity to present her work, already translated into English, to the jury in Europe.
According to the results of the competition, the organizers of the project will publish a special collection, which will include the best essays of the participants. It’s nice that among these works there will be an essay by the Ukrainian student of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University. This testifies to the high level of training of our students and the professionalism of teachers in the upbringing of nationally conscious, active, creative and talented youth, who, despite numerous objective difficulties, have unshakable faith in the prospects of the European path chosen by Ukraine and are applying to this difficult process already now, in learning time, own efforts.
The contestant and her scientific adviser dedicate their victory to the 100th anniversary of their native university!
