International Interdisciplinary Scientific Seminar

On February 1, 2021, teachers of the Department of Romanсе and Germanic Philology, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Svitlana Shekhavtsova and the Head Olena Byndas, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, made reports and took the floor at the International Interdisciplinary Scientific Seminar “EASTERN EUROPEAN COUNTRIES IN THE FACE OF THE SARS-CoV-2 CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC”.

The international seminar was organized by the Institute of Security and Management and the Department of Sociology and Political Science of the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk, Poland, Doc. Iryna Surina. The  work was offered in the following areas: Social order in the face of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic; Lockdown – a way of survival or a threat to the existence of the individual; Health care system during the COVID-19 epidemic; Economies of Eastern Europe during the pandemic; Pandemic as a factor of social inequality in Eastern Europe; The lives of young people during the coronavirus epidemic; Distance learning during a pandemic; Empirical studies during the COVID-19 pandemic; Digital education in a pandemic – potential, processes, models and higher education in the era of the coronavirus. The participants from Eastern Europe, namely Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Russia, Belarus, etc., shared their experience of working and studying in higher educational institutions during the pandemic. The working languages ​​of the seminar were Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, and English.

We’d like to note that in 2018, the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Languages ​​and the Department of Sociology and Political Science of the Pomeranian Academy in Slupsk, Poland, signed a Cooperation Agreement for 5 years. Therefore, within the framework of the Agreement there is a constant exchange of experience and interdepartmental cooperation: joint holding of international scientific conferences, publication of scientific articles of the RGF department teachers in the INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL “SOCIAL STUDIES: THEORY AND PRACTICE” (ISSN 2544-0044-1 CERN / EISSN) , and teachers of the Pomeranian Academy of Slupsk in the Bulletin of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Philological disciplines.
