Meeting of the student self-government at the ER IPES

A general meeting of the student self-government was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports.

On January 28, an online meeting of members of the student self-government of the Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports with representatives of the directorate and headmen of academic groups took place using the Google Meet web conference service.

The Deputy Director for Social and Humanitarian Work Oleksandr Brusak told the students about the holding of a video competition for the purpose of career guidance and the conditions for participation in this competition. The activists also discussed the possibility of holding a number of events dedicated to Valentine’s Day, the 100th anniversary of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, as well as online conferences.

The chairman of the student self-government Bohdan Ochkasov spoke in more detail about the work plan for the next semester in the context of a pandemic. Several proposals and questions on scientific work were also considered at the event. At the meeting, it was decided to open a scientific society, which will allow students to work in a scientific direction more fruitfully.

Bohdan reminded the elders and members of the student self-government about the principle and rules for calculating scholarships, as well as what components affect the appointment of scholarships. They together with Oleksandr Mykhailovych considered the possibilities of conducting career guidance work in educational institutions in Donetsk region (Bakhmut, Liman, Kramatorsk) and Luhansk region (Kreminna, Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Starobilsk, Severodonetsk).

At the end, Oleksandr Dubovyi, Director of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports, addressed the student community and congratulated everyone on the start of the new academic semester, wished them success in their studies and further active, fruitful cooperation between the directorate and students.
