Final certification at the ER IEB

On January 18-23, the Institute of Economics and Business held the final certification of master’s students and defence of master’s theses.

This year, due to quarantine restrictions, the final certification took place online.

So, on January 18-20, the state certification and defense of master’s theses in the specialty “Finance, Banking and Insurance” took place. The examination committee included M.A. Melnik, Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting and Taxation of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University; Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work L.Ts. Vakhovskyi; Deputy Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business A.S. Bairachna and qualified teachers of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking.

Three full-time applicants for higher education and 15 par-time applicants for higher education of the department were admitted to the exams, who fully completed the curriculum.

The examination committee noted the answers of A. Glushchenko, A. Lysogor, L. Ukrainska, O. Belik, Ye. Karpunina, A. Melnichenko, O. Petrochuk, A. Sylkin, V. Skirtach, L. Cheipesh and S. Shpak.

During January 21-23, master’s theses were defended by applicants for higher education in the specialties “Management” and “Professional Education (Economics)”. The examining committee included I.A. Popova, Associate Professor of the Department of Organization and Economics of Pharmacy of the National Pharmaceutical University; Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work L.Ts. Vakhovskyi; Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business V.P. Khmel and teachers of the Management Department.

The subject of master’s theses covered a wide range of issues, the coverage of which allowed applicants for education to acquire deep theoretical knowledge on management issues, to develop practical skills in the techniques and procedures used in the management process.

On January 19 and 20, the defense of master’s theses took place  at the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. The examination committee included: Professor of the Department of Personnel Management and Labor Economics of the Training Institute of the State Employment Service of Ukraine V.I. Nadraga; Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work L.Ts. Vakhovskyi; Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business V.P. Khmel and leading teachers of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

The members of the committee discussed the reports of students and paid special attention to the answers, which contained specific examples from the production and commercial activities of enterprises and organizations, as well as the ability of the master’s student to demonstrate his knowledge during the defense.

The committee noted the high level of knowledge of V. Furso, O. Korzh and M. Oliinyk.
