Master’s theses defense
26.1.2021
The defense of master’s theses ended at the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.
Last week, the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship finished the campaign for the defense of master’s theses. The COVID-19 pandemic has made its own adjustments to ensure and directly to the online defense procedure, but did not affect the quality of work and the accuracy of the final stage of the university educational process.
It is difficult to imagine a more authoritative Chairman of the State Examination Commission. For three years now, this is a well-known representative of the academic community of Ukraine, a specialist in public service and the labor market: Doctor of Economics, Professor, People’s Deputy of Ukraine of the IV convocation, former Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Ukraine and General Director of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine Vasyl Nadraga.
A few days before the defense, the commission carried out preliminary technical support for the defense, the availability of work and a package of relevant documents.
Particularly successful and convincing was the defense of master’s students majoring in 051 “Economics”. In fact, it was an assessment of the quality of the educational process and the first (bachelor’s) level: many of the fourteen master’s students are LTSNU bachelor’s graduates in this specialty. Some are graduates of other specialties of economic and non-economic profiles of our university. Traditionally, there is a significant proportion of experienced entrepreneurs, employees of the management staff of law enforcement agencies and local self-government bodies, and this year also the heads of healthcare institutions.
Such a respected composition of master’s students is naturally formed by the content of the specialty “Economics” as a component of the branch of knowledge 05 “Social and Behavioral Sciences”.
After the second day of work and the announcement of the results of the defense, a substantive analysis of master’s theses was carried out, directions for improving the educational process of both the first and second levels of training of economists and marketers were determined.
Vasyl Nadraga confirmed the generalized assessment of the educational process of the department announced to the masters: “Your graduates are not inferior to the graduates of the capital’s higher education institutions in terms of their level of training, and you have reason to respect yourself as teachers”.
Such an assessment is a great obligation and inspires a lot.
