Defense of master’s theses

On January 12-15, 2021, the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education held the defense of master’s theses. 

This year, due to the pandemic, protection took place remotely using the Skype program. The final certification was held for applicants for higher education, specialties “Secondary Education. Labor Training and Technologies”, “Professional Education. Technology of Production and Processing of Agricultural Products”, “Professional Education. Transport” and “Professional Education. Food Technologies”. A total of 65 people were admitted to the defense.

Three examination commissions were formed, which within four days evaluated the master’s work of applicants for higher education. The defense of all works was accompanied by multimedia presentations prepared by the students.

On January 12-14, higher education applicants in the specialty “Professional Education. Transport”. 31 students were admitted to the defense. Most of the work was done in engineering areas. There were also works on vocational education. We would like to note the excellent defense of the works by students Vilen Kolesnikov, Oleh Hyria, Oleksii Dontsov, Petro Sheliakin and Mykola Horbatiuk. Mykola Horbatiuk will receive a master’s degree with honors.

On January 13-14, higher education applicants in the specialty “Vocational Education. Food Technologies” began to defend their master’s theses. 

In total, the EC members evaluated ten master’s theses. Master’s students developed and researched the technology of manufacturing or improving the latest technologies of food products with increased nutritional value and modern dishes of restaurants. A significant part of the work was devoted to the issue of a comprehensive study of the quality of culinary products and their improvement.

It should be noted that most of the students already have experience in creating new dishes and culinary products. They use their experience to create new products and technologies. These students are A.V. Kornienko, A.S. Lunyakina, K.O. Shulyar, Yu.V. Kropivtsova. The commission especially noted the defense of serviceman Yurii Aksonenko, who proved that Ukrainian defenders are capable not only of defending the borders of Ukraine, but also at the same time mastering the skill of scientific activity. All master’s theses were performed on topical and promising topics for the development of the industry. The masters gave reasoned and clear answers to the questions. According to the results, four master’s students received excellent marks and six ones received good marks. 

On January 15, higher education applicants in the specialty “Vocational Education. Technology of Production and Processing of Agricultural Products” started defending their master’s theses. 11 students were admitted to the defense. Among the higher education applicants in this specialty, Viktor Butkov and Olena Krivenko defended their master’s theses best of all.
