4.1.2021
The Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine expressed gratitude to the scientists-economists of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
On the eve of the New Year holidays, a letter from the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine signed by the First Deputy of the Ministry Rostyslav Zamlynskyi, in which Professors Andrii Kolosov and Viacheslav Chebotarov as well as Assistant Professor Yehor Chebotarov were expressed gratitude for the proposals on creation of the Concept of Economic Development of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Such proposals contained, in particular, the rationale for specific steps to introduce priority development areas in Donbas, support for the agri-food sector and displaced educational institutions (scanned letter).
The relevant activities of our teachers, who are included in the Interdepartmental Commission for the Development of the Strategy for the Recovery of Donbas, chaired by the Minister of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, is a reflection of the practical activities of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship in realizing the uniqueness of its educational program in specialty 051 “Economics” of the bachelor level. One of the components of the uniqueness of the program was defined as the cooperation of the department with the state authorities of Ukraine on the development of proposals for overcoming the consequences of the war in Donbas and international charitable organizations for consulting support of their activities to support small and medium-sized businesses in Luhansk and Donetsk regions.
The proposals approved by the Ministry of Labor and Defense of Ukraine were preceded by a long-term activity of the department in this direction. So, in 2016, similar to the Marshall Plan, the Donbas Revival Plan was presented, which was approved not only by the Academy of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, but also by the US Embassy in Ukraine and the Kennan Institute (the USA). During 2015-2020 the department provided support for the grant activities of leading international charitable organizations (Word Jewish Relief, DAI Global LLC, Mercy Corps, etc.) to support small and medium-sized businesses in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, and is also used in educational activities of the specialties “Economics” and “Marketing”. On the basis of this approach, the department in 2018 worked out proposals for supporting entrepreneurship to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the Luhansk Regional Military-Civil Administration and the Starobilsk District State Administration.
Now, in the context of the implementation of the educational process, this kind of activity of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship continues with the state authorities of Ukraine and international charitable organizations.
