A Legend of History Faculty
30.12.2020
The Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences continues to replenish the section “History Faculty in Photographs”.
Dear friends! We continue to present to your attention our new project, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of our native Alma Mater: “History Faculty in Photos”. The dynamic history of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences, as one of the leading structural divisions of our university, is rich in various important events for us. The old, yellowed photos reflect the History Faculty’s successes in various spheres. We, descendants, are watched by our illustrious teachers – still young and full of hopes for the future. Someone will recognize themselves in the photo – the first lectures and seminars, scientific conferences, concerts, archaeological expeditions. All this is the glorious history of the legendary History Faculty.
“And through the branches of the jungle trees the curious eyes of a monkey looked at him …” – lectures on the “History of the Ancient East” of a teacher, a famous orientalist, student of V. M. Beilis, Doctor of Historical Sciences , Professor Viktor Kriukov. His excellent descriptions of the Asian mode of production in ancient oriental societies have long been remembered by every student of History Faculty. In August 2020, Viktor Hryhorovych died.
In loving memory of him …
