Representatives of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences took part in the project of the School of Political Analytics of the National University “Kyiv-Mohyla Academy”.
From September to December, the research team “Iformaion & Investigaion” consisting of teachers of the Department of Political Science and Law, as well as students and master’s students majoring in Applied Political Science of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University took part in the project of the School of Political Analytics of the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy with the financial support of the Embassy of the United States of America “Creation and development of analytical centers at universities”. During this period, the team listened to and underwent trainings on the work and organization of analytical centers, writing documents.
The main goal of this project is to create analytical centers at universities, which should become the engines of the development of local democracy and make a significant contribution to the formation of evidence-based public policy.
Young people are a fairly large social group among political actors, and their participation can significantly influence the outcome of politics. Therefore, we can note that today the role of the inclusion of youth in political life is growing. In addition, young people will be less biased. They have inherent values that may differ from those of the older generation.
On December 2, the brief was sent to the School of Political Analytics.
On December 14, an internal presentation of the brief took place with the involvement of representatives of the local and regional administration of the Luhansk region.
On December 28, the final part of the presentation of the analytical document of the “Iformaion & Investigaion” team on the topic “Engaging the youth of the Luhansk region to participate in political life” took place. The chairman of the Luhansk regional organization of the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of Ukraine Serhii Sevriuk and the director of the Department of International Technical Assistance, Innovative Development and External Relations of the Luhansk Regional State Administration Denis Denischenko took part. In addition, Anastasia Rudneva and the chairman of the NGO Severodonetsk Youth Council Kyrylo Dubrovin were recruited as media experts.
These projects are traditional for the Department of Political Science and Law, where our active students and teachers participate. We wish them creative success and active work of the analytical center!
