Online lecture for students

Students of the Institute of Economics and Business attended an open online lecture from leading specialists of the Main Department of Statistics in the Luhansk region.

Specialists of the Main Department of Statistics in the Luhansk region held an open online lecture on the topic “Statistical support for the development of entrepreneurship in the Luhansk region” for the 3rd year students majoring in Economics. Teh Chief Lecturer was the First Deputy Head of the Main Directorate Halyna Ovchinnikova.

Not only students majoring in Economics showed interest in the lecture (many of them, in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, listened to the lecture in the university room 101), but also other specialties of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business using the Zoom program. The lecture imperceptibly turned into an interview-debate of students and teachers with practitioners including a discussion of complex issues of the economy of the region and the country.

This lecture was delivered in the context of the implementation of cooperation of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship with the Main Department of Statistics in the Luhansk region. In June, its specialists conducted a series of lectures for the teachers of the department on the problems of information and analytical support for the socio-economic development of the Luhansk region.

A significant component of cooperation of the Department of Economics, Marketing and Entrepreneurship with the Main Department of Statistics in the Luhansk region is the peer review – scientific and practical examination of the educational program of the specialty “Economics” of the second (master’s) level of higher education.

In order to further stimulate students’ interest in an informed approach in the educational process and scientific research, to popularize the activities of the Main Department of Statistics in the Luhansk region, its specialists made a New Year’s gift – the department was given access to the data of the State Statistics Service in Ukraine free of charge.

By mutual desire, the cooperation of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Main Department of Statistics in the Luhansk region will be extended.
