Online Open Day

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University held an Online Open Day. 

Today, December 19, 2020, on St. Nicholas Day our University hosted an Online Open Day. The previous experience of holding such an event has demonstrated how, under conditions of quarantine, it is possible to virtually open the university doors for everyone and to tell about the benefits of studying at our higher educational institution.

At the beginning of the conference, the Rector of the University Serhii Savchenko addressed all those present with a welcoming speech: “Dear applicants, we invite you to study at our modern innovative higher educational institution which in a few months will celebrate its 100th anniversary.” Serhii Viktorovych spoke about the history of the university, the features and advantages of education.

On this day, all students from any corner of Ukraine had the opportunity to communicate with the administration of the institution and hear answers to all their questions directly from directors and deans of structural divisions.

Among the questions that future applicants posed today were questions about the External testing certificates, creative contests, admission on the basis of a junior specialist diploma, the number of budget places and others, required for admission to certain specialties. The administration, representatives of institutes and faculties immediately provided comprehensive answers to them.

In turn, the executive secretary of the Admission Committee Alina Beshkinska informed those present about the admission campaign 2021, the conditions of admission, and also answered all the questions received in the chat during the broadcast in Zoom. She dwelled in detail on the deadlines for submitting applications and documents, holding creative tests and competitions.

So, the beginning of accepting applications and documents will begin on July 14, 2021 and will end at 18.00 on July 23, 2021. Competitive subjects for admission to training for obtaining a bachelor’s degree based on the obtained educational and qualification level of the junior bachelor, educational and professional degree – professional junior bachelor, educational degree – junior bachelor: the first certificate – Ukrainian language and literature or Ukrainian language (depending on the specialty ), and the second – upon admission to places by state order – mathematics or history of Ukraine (at the choice of the higher educational institution); upon admission to a contract, it is offered at the choice of the applicant, and the applicant also takes an entrance exam at the university.

The start of accepting applications in this category is from July 14, 2021, and its end is on July 23, 2021, 18.00. The dates for the entrance exams are July 24-30, 2021.

At the end of the meeting, the Rector congratulated all those present on the holiday – St. Nicholas Day and invited everyone to the next Open Day, which will be held in January 2021!
