From Education to Career: My Choice

The first regional training “From Education to Career: My Choice” took place at the Window on America Center.

On December 10 and 11, Oksana Husakova, a regional trainer and teacher of the Department of Oriental Languages, conducted the first of three regional trainings for career counselors, teachers, psychologists and educators using the online platform Zoom.

The participants of this training were psychologists and educators from different cities of Ukraine, who had previously successfully completed an online course “With students about education and career” on the EdEra platform.

“With students about education and career” is a free online course created by the EducationUSA network in Ukraine with the support of the US Embassy in cooperation with the EdEra online education studio, the CSR Development Center, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry ofyYouth and Sports of Ukraine. From it you will learn what educational and career counseling is and what tools exist for it, get acquainted with the real opportunities for vocational and higher education in Ukraine and abroad, as well as opportunities for non-formal education. Training “From Education to Career: My Choice” is the second stage in the preparation of future career counselors in schools. It is important to note that during the online training, participants are introduced to such sections as “Communication skills of the XXI century”, “Motivation letter”, “How to set goals and achieve them” and “Choosing an educational institution” and do not repeat the material of the online course. The next sessions of the regional training will take place in January and February.
