Pre-defense of master’s and qualification works

Pre-defense of master’s and qualification works took place at the Design Department.

On December 7-8, the Design Department of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism held the pre-defense of master’s and qualification works of specialty 022 “Design” on the Microsoft Teams platform.

So, on December 7, 13 applicants for higher education majoring in “Hair Design and the Art of Visage” presented their master’s theses, reports and presentations to the commission. Among the members of the commission was the Head of the Design Department Iryna Prodan and teachers Olha Kostiuk, Iryna Koval, Oksana Hetman, Olha Bondarenko.

As a result, several research papers of higher education applicants were noted, who created bright, creative presentations and prepared informative reports, namely:

Viktoria Yaremenko with the topic of her master’s work “Hairstyle as a means of self-presentation in society and culture”.

Olha Otrok – “National peculiarities of the Ukrainian hairstyle – an inexhaustible source for modern modeling”.

On December 8, the teachers of the Design Department Iryna Prodan, Anna Kovalenko, Halyna Bogucharska and Natalia Diachenko carried out pre-defense of qualification works of applicants for higher education in the amount of 10 people, specialties “Graphic Design” and “Environment Design”.

The logic of writing the work involves the execution of the explanatory note and the visualization of the graphic part. Master’s students prepared substantive lectures, which were accompanied by multimedia presentations of graphic designs.

It should be noted the interesting design solutions of the project part of the assignment by Polina Khorolska, the topic of the qualification work was “Methods of developing the identity of a cafe with pets”. The presented concept from the design of the identity provided for the visualization of the structural elements of the identity to identify the establishment.

Hanna-Maria Yampol presented her own concept of vision “Features of the formation of corporate style in the design of the environment of the stadium “Kolos” in Starobilsk”. When developing the logo, attention was focused on colors that convey the specific versatility of sports activities and reflect the sports aspirations of a person.

Applicants for higher education took a responsible attitude towards writing master’s and qualification works. Master’s students with their scientific advisers presented reports, presentations and graphic designs for the pre-defense. Each work was reviewed and discussed. All comments regarding the shortcomings of the master’s theses were accepted for revision.
