Olena Dukhova, Head of the Student Social Service of the Legal Department, took part in a webinar entitled “Trends of Charity in 2021”.
On December 5, the world community celebrates International Volunteer Day. To be a volunteer means to give a part of yourself to others, to be ready to lend a hand of support to those who need it and, at the call of your heart, to selflessly believe in goodness.
At our university, the volunteer movement is one of the leading, because helping those in need and respecting honorable people are important areas of work.
So, to attract new ideas, the Head of the Student Social Service of the Legal Department, Olena Dukhova, took part in a webinar on the topic “Trends of Charity in 2021”. The lecture was delivered by the Director of the Klitschko Foundation Alina Nosenko, who has been managing the charitable foundation since 2013. Alina completed an internship at the Bundestag, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the UN Office in Ukraine and studied Challenge Management at the University of St. Gallen.
During her speech, the narrator told the audience about the foundation and its areas of work, how to win grants and help people at the same time. Alina explained in detail the very concept of “charity” and summed up the results of 2020. The audience learned about the pros and cons of working online.
The lecture turned out to be interesting and informative. Thanks to this event, those present met their like-minded people and received a huge boost of energy and inspiration for new good deeds.
