The Educational and Research Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences is starting the project “History Faculty in Photos”.

Dear friends! We would like to bring to your attention our new project dedicated to the 100th anniversary of our native Alma Mater: “History Faculty in Photos”. The dynamic history of the Institute of History, International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences, as one of the leading structural divisions of our university, is rich in various important events for us. Old, yellowed photographs reflect successes of History Faculty in various fields. Our illustrious teachers, still young and full of hope for the future, look at us, descendants. Someone will recognize themselves in the photo – the first lectures and seminars, scientific conferences, concerts, archaeological expeditions. All this is the glorious history of the “legendary” History Faculty.

When the name of Wolf Mendelevich Beilis was mentioned at the next History Faculty concert, the famous student anthem “Gaudeamus” was always played, and everyone applauded while standing. Our legendary teacher, an outstanding Arabist scholar who founded a powerful orientalist school, a front-line soldier, a kind and sensitive person. After his brilliant lectures, students fell in love with history forever.
