Pre-defense of master’s theses

On December 1, the pre-defense of master’s theses took place at the Department of Geography.

In order to improve the preparation of students for the defense of master’s theses and in accordance with the Regulations on the master’s qualification work of applicants for higher education at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the Department of Geography (Faculty of Natural Sciences) held the preliminary defense of qualification works of students of specialty 014.07 “Secondary Education. Geography”. The event was held remotely on the ZOOM platform.

The students presented the results of scientific research that they conducted during the entire period of study. All master’s theses are devoted to topical issues of school geographic education – the introduction of innovative methods of teaching geography, the implementation of an ecological content line in the school course of geography, scientific and methodological support for teaching certain sections of geography in a specialized school, the system of preparing students for the External testing in geography, etc. Students answered questions, listened to constructive comments and recommendations from teachers.

During the pre-defense, the master’s students demonstrated mastery of scientific research methods, modern technologies for teaching geography, understanding of the priorities and tasks of the New Ukrainian School. The participants of the event learned about the interesting solutions for modeling learning, ideas for using digital and other modern technologies in geography lessons, and effective presentations. Most master’s students work in the education system, so they conducted their research with inspiration.

Congratulations to the applicants for the educational degree “Master” of the Department of Geography on successful completion of the first stage of the defense of qualifying works and we wish them a successful final defense.

According to the Department of Geography
