Victories and achievements of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking

On the eve of the 100th anniversary of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, we continue the cycle of publications about the history of the Institute of Economics and Business, its outstanding teachers and graduates.

The Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking of the Educational and Research Institute of Economics and Business originates in its educational and scientific growth from the Department of Finance, founded in 2001.

The Department of Finance was formed and developed under the leadership of Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Oleksandra Vasylivna Shevchuk (2001-2013), preparing students for the specialty “Finance and Credit”.

In July 2013, on the basis of the Department of Finance, the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking was formed, the head of which was appointed Doctor of Economics, Professor Pavlo Yevgenovych Zhytnyi (2013-2015). From 2015 to the present, the Department is headed by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Natalia Oleksiivna Riazanova. Now the Department trains specialists in specialty 072 “Finance, Banking and Insurance”.
