Presidential Scholarship

The Department of Romance and Germanic Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Languages congratulates the best student of 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 a.y. Mayorenko Vira on getting the Presidential Scholarship.
Mayorenko Vira is a 4th year student majoring in “Secondary Education. Language and Literature (French, English)” of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
Vira takes an active part in the “Days of Science”, which are held annually at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
Among her scientific achievements are the participation of the II, III, V, VI and VII Ukrainian student scientific-practical conferences “Romance and Germanic languages in the modern intercultural space”. Abstracts were published in the collections of materials of the II, III, V, VI and VII Ukrainian student scientific-practical conferences ” Romance and Germanic languages in the modern intercultural space”, April 23, 2018, November 28, 2018, April 15, 2020 and November 24, 2020, respectively.
Vira is also the co-author of the article “Les phraséologismes français à des composantes culinaires en tant que miroir de la mentality”, theses of which were considered at the III International Scientific and Practical Conference “Key Problems of Modern Germanic and Romance Philology”.
In 2019, the applicant received the third place in the Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty ” Romance and Germanic languages and literatures (with the methods of their teaching)”, which took place at Kyiv National Linguistic University on April 25, 2019. The theme of the scientific work “Features of the linguistic picture of the French world, verbalized in phraseology with a culinary and gastronomic component.”
In February-March 2020, Mayorenko Vira submitted a research paper to the Ukrainian competition of student research papers in the specialty ” Romance and Germanic languages and literatures (with methods of teaching them)”, which took place at the Kyiv National Linguistic University. Her work on “Verbalization of the concept of” LA RUSE ” (trick) in the French phraseological picture of the world” was recognized as one of the best and received the first degree Diploma.
Her mentor and supervisor is the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Lyudmyla Vsevolodivna Shapovalova. Lyudmyla Vsevolodivna is a French language teacher with many years of experience. It was her ideas and research that helped Vera become the best student, won the competition and gave her the opportunity to receive the Presidential Scholarship.
