Happy Day of Dignity and Freedom!
20.11.2020
Dear students, teachers, colleagues! Please accept our sincere congratulations on the Day of Dignity and Freedom!
November 21 is an outstanding date, which is a symbol of the rebelliousness of the Ukrainian people. Two revolutions – the Maidan of 2004, which was the Day of Freedom, and the Revolution of 2013, the Revolution of Dignity, changed the people, united them into one whole, which holds on to a single state. Ukrainians found the strength to be reborn into a modern European nation, a nation of proud, free and responsible citizens capable of defending their freedom, statehood and human dignity.
Dear students and teachers! For each of us this holiday should become an impetus to understanding the significance of the struggle of the Ukrainian people for the values, rights, freedoms of man and citizen, the national interests of our state and its European choice.
We have no right to forget the exploits of the participants in the Revolution of Dignity, participants in the ATO, because they still defend the interests of the Ukrainian people in the difficult times of the present.
We bow low to the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, to everyone who gave their lives for the right to live in a free and independent country, because their feat is invaluable for Ukraine. A people worthy of respect should remember everyone who gave his life for the freedom, dignity and independence of his state.
On this day, we would like to wish everyone peace, prosperity and undying faith in a happy future. Remember, it depends on each of us what kind of Ukraine we and our descendants will live in! Let’s be free and worthy!
Respectfully yours, Vitalii Kurylo, Chairman of the LTSNU Academic Council
and Rector of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Serhii Savchenko
