Documentary Theater “Expertise”
6.10.2015
On October 5Les Kurbas Theatrical Art Center with a Project of documentary theater “Expertise” came to the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology.
The initiators of the project think that one of the main factors influencing on political situation in Ukraine is inability to speak. Ignoring this problem can cause a lot of disastrous consequences.
The theater suggests a situation which has a possibility to speak. If you are on the stage – you have to talk. And if you are silent, you agree with the words of the other person. Paradoxically, the “enforcement” to talk creates an opportunity for conversation.
IPP students of specialties “Preschool Education”, “Elementary Education”, “Psychology”, “Practical Psychology” and “Correctional Education” became the experts of their lives in social and political situation.
The most interesting questions were “What Ukraine we want to live in?”, “What personal skills a citizen of Ukraine should have?”, “A man – object or subject of development?”, “Do we have to know the history and to revive traditions in Ukraine?”, “Should we be tolerant to people (in particular, relatives) who have started a war in Eastern Ukraine and have committed crimes (including criminal ones) against their own people?” and others.
After hour and a half event the students continued their debates in the dormitory. They have come to a consensus on many issues, but on some questions the students have not changed their own opinions.
