Participation in the International Conference

Valerii Kolesnikov, Associate Professor of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education took part in the International Conference.

On October 15 and 16, 2020, the XV International Conference “Problems of Corrosion and Anticorrosion Protection of Structural Materials” (dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the birth of G.V. Karpenko) was held.

The conference was organized by the European Corrosion Federation, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Ukrainian Association of Corrosionists, Physics and Mechanics Institute named after G.V. Karpenko of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Ivan Franko Lviv National University, Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.

Valerii Kolesnikov, Associate Professor of the Department of Production Technologies and Professional Education of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism, took part in this conference. He prepared a poster presentation on the topic “Research of influence of lubricants on working and operating properties of corrosion-steel steels”. Also, based on the materials of the conference, the paper was published in a special issue of the journal “Physicochemical Mechanics of Materials”, and English-language abstracts were published.

The special issue presents works devoted to the fundamental aspects of corrosion and corrosion-mechanical destruction; hydrogen and gas corrosion; new corrosion-resistant materials; gas-thermal, galvanic and other coating; inhibitory, biocidal and electrochemical protection; research methods and corrosion control; anti-corrosion protection of equipment in the oil and gas, chemical and energy industries.

The best papers containing new, original results will be selected for publication in the international journal “Physicochemical Mechanics of Materials”, which is republished in English by Springer Verlag under the title Materials Science.

The conference received materials from different countries: Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Poland, Belarus, China. Due to the pandemic, some of the reports were covered by video conferencing using presentations and the ZOOM platform.
