“Gender Equality in Sports”

The Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports participated in the implementation of the All-Ukrainian educational project.

The Educational and Research Institute of Physical Education and Sports together with the Luhansk branch of the NOC of Ukraine held an event on the implementation of the All-Ukrainian educational project of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine and the Coca-Cola Foundation #OlympicLab – “Gender Equality in Sports”.

The purpose of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle, spread the ideas of Olympism, and develop the Olympic movement in Ukraine, which in turn are designed to attract as many children as possible to a healthy lifestyle.

The participants of the project were the first and third-year students of our higher educational institution together with the teachers. During the event future specialists listened to a very interesting lecture from the Candidate of Biological Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Physical Therapy, Ergotherapy and Human Health Olena Guzhva on the topic “Gender Equality in Sports”.

Also, Nina Bela, a participant of the Olympic Games, a teacher of physical culture of the Kreminna secondary school No. 2, spoke to the students about her path in sports and further life, about the most acute problems of our time in teaching children. At the end of the event, the quiz “Experts of the Olympic Movement” was held among the participants.

The most active project participants, students and teachers received teaching aids and gift packages from the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.
