Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism took part in the open air.
On September 24, 2020, students majoring in design took part in the open air as part of the “Aura of the City” project. The purpose of the event was to inspire students to creative work, to make them feel new impressions from cooperation with real creators. The organizer of this event was Marina Brazhnikova, a representative of the NGO “Effective Community”.
This time, artists from Kamenets-Podolsky Dmytro Kravets with his wife Anna Susharnik-Kravets came to our city. They already have 9 personal exhibitions and more than a dozen exhibitions of all-Ukrainian, regional, regional and local levels. “An exhibition is a reporting period for every artist, so it is very important to participate in as many events as possible,” Dmytro said. Now he and his wife are traveling around Ukraine, inspired by new impressions, which will later be transferred to the canvas. They have already been to Odesa and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
In Starobilsk, the artists decided to paint the red building of our university. In the process of painting the picture, they shared their professional secrets with the students, talked about the peculiarities of paints, canvases, the correct placement of the picture on the sheet. The artists willingly answered the questions of those present, so they found out that Anna was working in the impressionism technique. In her paintings, she tries to convey the brightness and joy of life, to instill positive emotions in the picture. Dmytro Kravets is a member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine.
The result of the fruitful collaboration of artists with students is an amazing painting depicting the main building of our Alma Mater. On the reverse side, those present left their autographs as a keepsake, confirming their involvement in such an outstanding event.
The painting has a long journey. On September 26, it will be shown at an exhibition dedicated to the City Day, then it will be taken to Lviv to the exhibition “Heart of Lviv to Starobilsk”. As the Director of Institute of Commerce, Serving Technologies and Tourism Viktor Drel noted: “The artists will present this painting to us and it will be demonstrated at the 100th anniversary of the university. The main thing is that a piece of the soul of each student remained on this canvas”.
