World Cleanup Day

The College of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University joined the action “World Cleanup Day”.

On September 19, 2020, the annual international socio-ecological campaign for cleaning green areas and landscaping “World Cleanup Day” started in all regions of Ukraine. The initiator of the event is the All-Ukrainian youth movement “Let’s do it, Ukraine”. The slogan “Have you seen? Take it away!” became the motto of this year. 

The purpose of this event is the formation of national cleanliness and improvement, proper waste management, respect for the environment, creating favorable conditions for the development of volunteering and self-realization of Ukrainian youth, the development of local communities.

On this day, college students together with their curators and the commandant of the dormitory No.6 joyfully joined the action, observing sanitary standards. They cleaned the area at the entrance to the main university building. So, the remains of dry leaves, tree branches were collected and walking paths were removed.

We hope that such actions will become regular and everyone realizes that it is our responsibility to keep the environment clean! After all, Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University is not only an educational institution, but, above all, our common home.
