Meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Natural Sciences

The Academic Council of Faculty of Natural Sciences held its meeting on September 24.

The agenda included several issues:

– Analysis of state examination commission (SEC) and summer examination period.

– On state and improving computer access system of students and teachers to the educational and methodological disciple support of university departments.

– Approving working plans of FNS and staff of scientific, socio-humanitarian and educational commission.

– Competitive things.

The first issue was reported by the Deputy Dean of FNS for Educational Work Olha Petrivna Hubska who told that State attestation of students had been held in the form of final complex computer testing, oral or written state examination, master had defended their qualifying projects. According to the results of SEC and summer examination period the majority of students received “good” and “excellent” grades.

During the report “On state and improving computer access system of students and teachers to the educational and methodological disciple support of university departments” the Dean of FNS Oleh Oleksandrovych Vynohradov informed that due to the combined education system at the university the majority of specialties were completely provided with educative materials which were available on the website of distance learning of LNU (http://do.luguniv.edu.ua).

Thus, Moodle platform includes working programs, electronic versions of textbooks and teaching aids, lections, methods of performing practical and laboratory work, questions to module control works, tests and so on.

Secretary of Academic Council of Faculty of Natural Sciences Yuliia Volodymyrivna Havreliuk spoke to a point of competitive things. M. I. Udovychenko stood for a post of Associate Professor of Department of Geography, I. H. Novoskoltseva – for a post of Senior Lecturer of Department of Laboratory Diagnostics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, N. M. Tverdochlib for assistant of this department and L. V. Koroletska – for a post of Assistant of Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology. All candidates were chosen by secret voting.

Also the Council considered and approved the staff of scientific, socio-humanitarian and educational commission, plan of FNS Academic Council meetings and plan of socio-humanitarian work of faculty for 2015 – 2016.
