Dedication to freshmen of the Faculty of Foreign Languages

Freshmen were dedicated to students at the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
On the 15 of September, at the Foreign Languages Department of the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”, a solemn dedication of the 1st year students took place. The special importance for the department means the set of the students of the 2020-2021 academic year, because this academic year our university will celebrate its 100th anniversary.
At the event, the Dean of the Foreign Languages Department, S.A. Shekhavtsova, expressed her congratulations for students, told about the features of the departments, shared interesting stories from her own life; Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology E.N. Bindas expressed parting words and shared learning secrets; Head of the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation S.V. Perova told an interesting parable about one smart teacher, also talked about the structure of the department of theory and practice of translation; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs L.A. Ovcharova also congratulated the students on the beginning of their new educational path, provided information about the work of the dean’s office and tuned students to study; Deputy Dean for Social and Humanitarian Work V.A. Shkarlet expressed sincere wishes and told a little about what kind of active and creative events await the talent of each of the students; Honorary Professor of the University S.A. Shpetnaya explained how important it is to learn and develop, told her stories and inspired everyone on a new educational path; teachers of the departments who congratulated the 1st year students on the beginning of the academic year and a new stage in their life. Thanks to the great support of the chairman of the trade union organization V.P. Moroz, the event was fully provided with the necessary requisites.
The final part of the dedication was the presentation from the dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages S.A. Shekhavtsova the 1st years students of small symbols of our university, colored icons, which, according to the tradition of our faculty, are spoken for good luck. The friendly atmosphere, positive students, friendly teachers and excellent mood allowed us to celebrate the dedication of the 1st year students at a high level.
