Self-government meeting

A self-government meeting was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies.

On September 4, 2020, members of the student self-government of the Institute of  Physics,
Mathematics and Information Technologies gathered to discuss the results of work for 2019-2020 and determine areas of work for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The students discussed what the last academic year was like for them and how to level the difficulties that arise during training in quarantine. The main question was how to create conditions for high-quality teaching and preservation of the traditions of the Institute under quarantine conditions. They also discussed the work plan of the Student Government Council for 2020-2021 academic year.

During the discussions, it was decided to intensify the work on establishing feedback from students and teachers, namely to conduct more surveys about the learning process, develop mechanisms for publishing student feedback on educational components, and closely monitor the selection process of selection disciplines. It was proposed to start various online activities of the Institute “Speaking club”, to create educational YouTube-channels in which students will talk about their hobbies related to programming.t

The special attention was paid  to the issue of meeting and acquaintance with freshmen. The student self-government is sure that despite the difficulties, this anniversary year will bring many pleasant moments and achievements.
