Knowledge Day at the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology

The Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology celebrated the Knowledge Day: the opening of the laboratory, a quest, a meeting of senior students.
On September 1, teachers and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology joined the university-wide celebration of the Knowledge Day. The program included ceremonial raising of the flags of the University, Ukraine and the EU; opening of a modern laboratory for preschool education; participation in a quest for freshmen of colleges and lyceums; organizational meeting of senior students of the ER IPP.
The holiday began with the opening of the Preschool Education Laboratory, which was created to implement the “Concept for the Education of Early and Preschool Children” to train a new generation of teaching staff for preschool education institutions, partnership with parents, scientific and methodological support of the early and preschool education system. The university administration (V. Kurylo, S. Savchenko, D. Uzhchenko, A. Babichev) and the institute administration (O. Karaman, O. Tsalapova, V. Pushko, S. Bader, I. Grechishkina), students majoring in Preschool Education” and teachers’ children participated in the event.
The next stage was participation in the quest for freshmen of colleges and lyceums. Associate Professor of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education L. Varianitsa presented the office of the New Ukrainian School and invited teachers and students to cooperate.
At noon, a meeting of the directorate, student self-government, curators and heads of departments took place with second-year students, and at 14.00 – with third and fourth-year students.
The Director of the Institute O. Karaman and deputy directors O. Tsalapova and V. Pushko congratulated the whole team on the beginning of a new, jubilee academic year; wished health, creative inspiration, personal and professional growth, new achievements and victories.
Then they talked about the organization of the educational process in the first semester in three main areas: educational, social, humanitarian and scientific activities. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to comply with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on the organization of anti-epidemic measures during the quarantine period in connection with the spread of the coronavirus disease COVID-19, and also obliged the curators and heads of groups to conduct scheduled and repeated safety briefings.
After the general meeting, curatorial hours were held in all specialties and work was planned for the semester.
The first day of the new academic year was held in high spirits, because everyone missed the lively communication and active life of the institute.
